Weeknight Class Descriptions
THE SUZUKI METHOD OF ACTOR TRAINING:. Teacher Ann Mahoney has been teaching this methodology privately, and at the collegiate level for 20+ years. Developed by internationally acclaimed director Tadashi Suzuki and the Suzuki Company of Toga, the Suzuki Method's physical and vocal training aims to reunite the actor with basic instinct, and open up their versatility within movement and stillness. Class is very challenging on all levels: physically, vocally, emotionally, and spiritually. We will be utilizing the play HAMLET as our text for class.
VIEWPOINTS: A deep-dive into how actors create ensemble, and navigate through time and space. This work demands vulnerability, and fosters spontaneity, helping actors to stretch their ideas of what an authentic/realistic performance can be.
Tuition is a flat fee for four weeks of all-inclusive classes (excluding the weekend intensives) You may attend every class scheduled each week. The number of classes you take is up to you, but the tuition is as paid. There are no refunds for missed classes, regardless of why class is missed. This policy allows us to pay our operation fees, and to pay our teachers fairly.
